Northbrook Cycle Committee
Tuesday, November 16, 2006

7:00 p.m.
ATTENDANCE:
Present: Aram Bayzaee, Mike Ferren, Brendon George, Steve Goldberg, Chuck and Chazz Martin, Stacie Marx, Manfred Ray, Steve Thordarson, Jim Weaver.
GENERAL: Chris Mailing and Imelda March were not in attendance; board meeting was missing one board member for quorum thus, meeting discussed general issues subject to board vote:
Manfred Ray had the floor:
Category 5: need to designate which category races Thursday and Friday nights
Determine by some time factor
Difficult to accommodate Category 4 and 5 on one night now
Split the field; need to whittle down field
Safety, insufficient time as schedule issues now; due to increased riders
Junior's on Friday night-Aram (?) to contact riders with this news
Segment 18 & below age group
Thursdays; above 18 age groups
Changes discussed by Aram with Dave Folkes regarding referee license
Encourage pre-season registration, online too, prior to opening night; fee's higher for late registration
Build out registration window near concession stand
Offsite registration for efficiency, licensing too; locations needed
Use of technology for immediate race information and results during race
Manfred would coordinate internet, computer, monitor capability
There is a cost approximately $4,000-$5,000
Sponsorship oriented award, i.e.: Most Aggressive or Rider of the Year, etc.
Steve Thordarson threw name in ring to help with high school and junior high school training program; 4/2/07-5/25/07
All NCC Board meetings are now on 3rd Thursday of each month
